Keep POSIX symlink-parent traversal at the shared JSON input boundary and forward the selected browser executable without a second lexical normalization. Verify Electron, browser, and Evidence-file consumers through registered commands and the built CLI.
Refs #5103
Record the admitted selected path separately from canonical artifact identity in successful and partial Evidence. Anchor relative inputs consistently across both CLI routes using the existing caller-path owner.
Adapt shared client verifier assertions and boundary coverage from PR #5261, and the dedicated-route anchoring correction proposed in PR #5265. Historical parsing remains independent of live paths, including legacy records without the parameter.
Validation: 118 focused tests in eight files, static and docs checks, discovery, and installed Gemini CLI 0.29.5 loopback verification of 207 schemas/241 examples passed. Synthetic static-analysis fixtures; no live Google API or native target execution.

Adapt the forwarding proposal in #4652 with a required signal before optional resource diagnostics. Migrate all callers and cover actual command registration during final close. Refs #4939.

Admit unknowns before canonical construction and provenance interning. Offer independent per-file and application capacities through CLI, Evidence and the owned analysis worker, and reject over-allocation during streamed decoding.
Report examined omitted emission occurrences by family and reason without retaining discarded identities. Preserve omission-free graph identities and distinguish node truncation from overall partial coverage.

Adapt the prepared descriptor lifecycle repair from xu91102/rea dbb7db16. Bind exact file cleanup leases, retain typed physical failures and cancellation reasons, and join CLI/MCP finalization and active preflight. Share canonical Evidence construction and retain completed reports across reader handoff cancellation.
Scope active capture admission through shutdown and gate launch after close. Preserve successful descriptor peers and retry only unresolved owners. Separate process/transport retry ownership remains tracked in #4805.
Validation: 168 focused checks passed, one Windows-only skip; built CLI and actual stdio MCP controlled descriptor recovery; build, static and docs checks. No natural OS fault or real Electron launch/teardown claim. Ordinary full replies and Evidence IDs remain byte identical across 30 small CLI tasks.

Own CDP transports from admission through observed close, retain failed
owners for retry, and keep active peers separate from pending cleanup.
Preserve primary errors and completed facts through final cancellation.
Forward passive Electron CLI cancellation and dispose browser, runtime and
scenario owners from CLI and MCP shutdown.

Preserve caller-selected POSIX symlink/parent paths during CLI anchoring and
Electron bundle traversal. Resolve terminal directory suffixes through checked
real directories, retaining their identities for before/after readback. Keep
the existing Windows CLI resolution, bounded scan, and output contracts.
Validation: six regressions reproduced on main 7ad75bdc8; 41 focused tests pass
with one Windows-only skip. Full static/docs checks and final main-sync fast
checks pass. Official Electron v44.7.1 release archives, extracted executable
hashes and independent fuse wires verify actual ELF/PE/Mach-O bytes. Real CLI
and stdio MCP reproduce main's wrong target and confirm corrected artifact
identity plus CLI/MCP parity; owned MCP servers exit. Equivalent direct-file
outputs remain 963-1,054 o200k tokens. Individual timing measurements and their
limits are recorded in the PR; no speedup is claimed. Native Windows/macOS REA
execution and target application execution are not claimed.

Load application and Electron workflow implementations only when their commands execute. Keep command schemas and catalog registration eager, and extend the startup import boundary to cover the deferred services.
Incur's `alias` map registers one-letter short flags and already accepts
kebab-case spellings of camelCase options. Twenty options registered their
kebab-case long name as an "alias", so help and completions advertised
flags such as `-case-sensitive` and `-relative-path` that the parser reads
as stacked short flags and rejects with "Unknown flag: -c".

Route ordinary CLI results through the bounded JSON writer after command registration, including managed member inspection. Remove JavaScript-specific output plumbing while preserving filters, envelopes, cancellation, and failure exits.
Measure formatted UTF-16 expansion before Incur token counting and return resource_constraint above the runtime string limit, with recovery guidance.
Validate output above the real V8 string limit by SHA-256 and exercise the compiled managed provider. Clean-worktree validation: npm run check; 76 focused tests passed, with 2 optional-provider skips; test discovery passed.
Fixes#1371.
Deliver complete Evidence directly through MCP with required nullable analysis profiles and immutable per-server delivery settings. Bind selected environments at construction and require typed cleanup outcomes with retained retry ownership.
Remove test-only routing, duplicate session and snapshot metadata, producer-field repairs, and ambiguous provider arguments. Separate artifact byte identity from occurrence classification and retain typed source-map and partial native facts across CLI, MCP, and verifier consumers.
BREAKING CHANGE: obsolete Evidence envelopes, session aliases, incomplete snapshots, and missing normalized producer facts are no longer accepted.
* fix(contracts)!: require absolute local paths for remaining caller-supplied file inputs
Follow-up to the session snapshot/export tightening: the same invisible server-cwd resolution applied to open_binary target paths (parseBinaryTarget(path, process.cwd())), import_evidence_bundle bundle reads, firmware input files (resolve(raw)), browser executable launch paths (resolve-then-spawn), Electron executable/application/root paths (realpath on raw input), and the expected server path check.
Each field gains the shared isAbsoluteLocalPath refinement plus a catalog-visible description, since JSON Schema cannot express the rule. Examples, scenario fixtures, and contract tests updated to absolute paths; new schema cases cover rejection/acceptance/omission per field.
Explicitly unchanged (verified rooted or out of scope): inspect_plist paths (resolved against the target bundle dir), firmware output_directory (already provider-enforced), filesystem observation paths (resolved against the caller-supplied working_directory), keyed-archive member paths (archive-relative), JS evidence member paths (evidence-relative under root_alias), provider-internal execution schemas, CLI-only doctor flows, and CLI options (own resolve against the operator cwd).
* fix(cli): resolve operator-relative paths before shared absolute-path validation
The contract tightening rejects relative paths, but three CLI commands forward operator-relative input into the shared schemas: firmware commands pass raw args to FirmwareAnalysisService, and the Electron/browser scenario commands validate parsed scenario JSON directly. CLI paths are relative to the operator shell, so resolve them against the working directory first: resolve() in firmwareCommands, and a shared resolveCliJsonPaths JSON key-path helper (cliJsonInput) applied in electronCommands and cliBrowserScenarioCommands. MCP behavior is unchanged — MCP callers must still send absolute paths.
Covers the regression with a relative-path firmware CLI acceptance test (asserts provider-stage capability_unavailable, not a validation error) and unit tests for the helper.
Move each error family out of domain/errors.ts into its own module
(base, core, provider selection/adapter, browser observation,
artifact, evidence, unknown registry, hopper, configuration) and
relocate AnalysisErrorProjection to analysisErrorProjection.
Migrate all 162 importers to the owning modules and delete
errors.ts. No re-export shims; behavior is unchanged.
