23dc8fbf83 fix(application): accept alternative document selection in binary_ove… (#2680)
* fix(application): accept alternative document selection in binary_overview (#2460)

Update binary_overview capability negotiation so that either current_document or list_documents satisfies the document identity requirement, matching resolveAnalysisDocument runtime semantics. When a provider declares neither document capability, resolveAnalysisDocument reports AnalysisCapabilityUnavailableError for current_document rather than leaking the internal list_documents fallback. Preserve list_segments as an independently mandatory requirement.

* fix(application): retain document fallback provider errors

Return the fallback producer error unchanged, retaining operation identity, retry advice, diagnostics and cleanup instead of fabricating missing capabilities.

Source inspection and git diff --check; tests/builds/typechecks/CI reruns skipped at explicit user request.

* test(application): retain document fallback error expectations

Composition and MCP controls now expect the original list_documents producer error and reason.

Source inspection and git diff --check only. Tests, builds and typechecks skipped by explicit user request. GitHub review writes paused globally.

* fix(ida): assert attached-mode routing failure

Mykola Dementiev 5f8af4ee5f feat(ida): resolve containing procedures and report the admitted program as the document (#2374)
* test(mcp): expect trace_feature to report references the provider truncated

A provider that reports a capped xrefs read makes the trace truncated with a residual unknown for that target. An explicit complete report and a provider that reports nothing leave the trace as before.

* fix(mcp): report references a provider truncated in trace_feature

Executions gain an optional flag for a capped xrefs read, set by the IDA adapter from the upstream cap. trace_feature marks the trace truncated with a residual unknown for that target only when the provider reports a truncation; a provider that reports nothing keeps its previous result. The trace_feature workflow profile is revised so earlier results are not replayed.

* refactor(ida): report reference truncation whenever the runner observed an xrefs cap

* test(mcp): cover session forwarding, per-target state, native reports and failures of the trace coverage

* test(mcp): format the session forwarding test

* test(ida): expect headless IDA to resolve containing procedures from lookups and segment facts

Cover positive and negative containment, segment boundaries including addresses above 2^53, failures of the lookup and of the segment survey, cancellation, input validation and the admitted program as the only document.

* test(ida): expect feature tracing and address context to work on headless IDA

Run trace_feature, including a capped reference read, and inspect_address_context with and without an explicit document through the IDA session client.

* test(mcp): expect trace_feature availability to follow the search operations it calls

* fix(mcp): derive trace_feature availability from the search operations it calls

* feat(ida): resolve containing procedures and report the admitted program as the document

The modern headless profile resolves an address through the function lookup and, when no function contains it, tells a mapped address from an unmapped one using the database-scoped minimal survey. A survey that is missing, truncated or inconsistent fails the read. list_documents reports the single admitted program. The attached profiles do not declare either operation.

* docs(ida): describe containing procedures, the admitted document and truncated feature traces

* test(ida): verify containing procedures, the admitted document and feature tracing on real IDA

* docs(testing): list the headless IDA workflows the real lane verifies

* test(ida): make each survey failure case isolate a single defect

* test(ida): pin large addresses, segment order, document identity, attached refusals and each trace_feature prerequisite

* test(mcp): expect a repeated reference source to be resolved once in trace_feature

* fix(mcp): resolve the containing procedure of a repeated reference source once

* test(ida): trace the fixture procedure and derive probe addresses from its facts in the real lane

* test(process): format processCaptureLifecycle.test.ts after the merge

* test(ida): declare the alignment each synthetic universal slice offset satisfies

* refactor(ida): move the real lane's feature trace assertions into a helper

* test(ida): expect the real lane's feature trace check to accept references to every matched address

* fix(ida): check each trace reference against its own matched address in the real lane

* test(ida): pin that the new operations reject a document other than the admitted program

* refactor(ida): move the real lane's mapped non-function probe into a helper

* test(ida): expect the real lane's mapped data probe to skip strings inside functions

* fix(ida): try the target's strings in order for the mapped non-function probe

* test(ida): declare the real lane helper types for the verifier tests

* test(ida): expect the real lane to reject a listed string that resolves as unmapped

* fix(ida): fail the real lane when a listed string resolves as unmapped

morluto b38429cb6a fix(native): preserve universal Mach-O container identity
Keep FAT container format distinct from selected slice architecture through target admission, Evidence, snapshots, and CLI/MCP lifecycle results. Preserve native, Hopper, Ghidra, extraction, and dylib routing for the Mach-O family.

Reject selected FAT ranges overlapping their table or too short for a Mach-O header. Replace empty-slice fixtures with in-bounds executable headers and cover thin, universal, single-slice, FAT64, and swapped containers.

Validation: static and architecture checks, generated docs, targeted producer and public MCP tests. Provider routing uses controlled fixtures; no live Hopper, IDA, JADX, or Ghidra analysis was performed for this change.

YsopwnableandKaoru0822 6395e8d300 perf(mcp)!: compact repeated session discovery facts (#1988)
Group repeated session tool availability and provider capability facts, preserve complete named contracts and ordered limitations, and remove duplicate catalog descriptors. Update consumers and migration guidance.

Validated by all 31 CI jobs, focused source checks, and actual Claude Code/Linux Hopper/native Windows Ghidra small-target workflows on the current integration tree.

Refs #723.

BREAKING CHANGE: binary_session no longer includes server_identity.catalog.tools; tool_availability and provider capabilities use grouped facts documented in docs/mcp-contracts.md.

morluto b71a591a60 test: consolidate redundant assertions into boundary workflows
Remove getter, enum, cloned-projection, cache-identity, and obsolete profile assertions along with the shadow JSON Schema engine and dead test-only APIs. Retain producer, filesystem, SDK, lifecycle, integrity, and malformed-format coverage.

Document the priority of real end-to-end workflows, boundary integration, and producer goldens.

Matt Van HornandMatt Van Horn db675f1d52 feat(mcp): select views of retained analysis results (#1180)
Add explicit summary, facet, item and paged views of retained analysis Evidence without repeating analysis. Preserve captured observations, graph validation, artifact identity, coverage and complete default results.

Fixes #1050

Verified with focused source, CLI, pinned-SDK schema and MCP tests, serial static checks, and one complete native Windows Notion ASAR workflow. Real Hopper/Ghidra verification was not performed for this provider-independent projection change.

Kaoru0822andClaude Opus 5.5 cf77d073fc fix(session): require an open target for session-bound native and artifact tools
binary_session reported native and artifact operations available whenever
their provider declared them, although these operations run on the active
target: in a closed session every call failed with target_unavailable, and
Mach-O-only operations stayed available with a ZIP or ELF target open.

Report target_required for every session-bound contract kind in a closed
session, and target_unsupported for Mach-O-only operations unless the open
target is a Mach-O executable. A host limitation is reported before target
selection, since opening a target cannot fix it; composed operations keep
deciding from their requirements.

ysopwnable 01be082e9e feat(browser): trace captured website module imports (#879)
* feat(browser): trace captured website module imports

Compose verified exported scripts, inert native import syntax and a narrow
Chromium resolution port. Preserve query/fragment identity, import-map context,
all reported capture candidates and explicit unknown execution. Share named
CLI/MCP contracts and retain native reports, diagnostics and cleanup failures.

Add focused boundary regressions and a real module-loading oracle to the
existing conditional Chrome lane. No captured application code is executed
by module tracing, and no selected website asset is refetched.

* fix(browser): preserve module contexts and source bindings

Keep capture completeness inline, validate actual source text against its
digest, and separate unsupported URL contexts from malformed input.
Use the importer origin for native module resolution and the selected map
base independently, including mixed HTTP/HTTPS and escaped HTML attributes.

morluto e07b81649e refactor!: simplify runtime tools and remove replay engines (#572)
* fix(hopper): report unavailable procedure body coverage

* refactor!: simplify runtime tools and remove replay engines

Keep direct inspection, capture, and comparison tools. Bind handlers to named contracts and let agents compose experiments with commands and local fixture servers.

BREAKING CHANGE: Remove controlled replay, Node characterization, finite replay-machine, managed runtime planning, and redundant string-tracing tools. Retire process replay, shims, reactive scenarios, custom checkpoints, and active browser replay and origin-scope inputs.

morluto b5e98915c6 fix(tools)!: simplify direct invocation and harden boundary contracts (#555)
Remove REA permission grants, scope ceilings, approval confirmations, and inert settings. Preserve selected local evidence, accept caller-chosen commands and paths, and report actual runtime failures.

Harden provider results, schema serialization, snapshot evidence binding, archive paths, source maps, native screenshots, managed EH parsing, and cancellation cleanup. Regenerate tool metadata and document direct invocation.

BREAKING CHANGE: Removed permission configuration and policy commands, approval fields, filesystem scope inputs, and fixed confirmation options. Process capture inherits the host environment and accepts command names; callers must refresh tool schemas and migrate removed fields.

morlutoandDevin e91c8c39c2 refactor(test): colocate pure-domain tests and reduce test debt (#471)
* refactor(test): colocate pure-domain tests and reduce test debt

Move focused immutable domain/contracts/adapter tests from
tests/composition/** beside their production owners under src/** as
colocated *.test.ts/*.fixture.ts, and relocate persistence-shaped
composition tests under tests/boundary/filesystem/**. Update import
paths, the Vitest project topology (shared worker context for pure
domain/contracts and recording-port service projects), the test
migration ledger, testing docs, and AGENTS.md to match.

* docs: remove test migration ledger

* fix: repair CI failures from schema, knip, and stale generated artifacts

Three root causes fixed:

1. catalog-schemas.mjs: valuesAt only traversed anyOf from Zod's
toJSONSchema, not oneOf. The webScreenshotDiffSchema change to a
discriminated union produces oneOf, so the product catalog generator
could not derive the web_screenshot_diff schema version. Add oneOf
   traversal.

2. conformancePackage.ts: the test rewrite removed the only imports of
ScenarioManifest, ReplayPlan, ShimPlan, and ExpectedEvidence, making
them unused exports that knip flags. Remove the dead type aliases.

3. Regenerate stale artifacts (product catalog, MCP tool catalog, skill
metadata, conformance manifest) that drifted from the source changes.
