Count real UTF-8 bytes in bounded chunks and retain authenticated omission for malformed Unicode. Preserve existing wire/resource limits and completion semantics.
Validation: producer/client regressions, fresh real Linux Cutter CLI/MCP output and Evidence recovery, and complete exact-head CI passed. Hosted unrelated CLI timeout and unchanged rerun results remain recorded in the PR.

Restore test fixture runtime prerequisites and align assertions with current Evidence and uncertainty contracts. Separate actual CLI publisher refusal from explicitly admitted Hopper socket/CLI fixtures, retaining exact wire identity and cleanup coverage. Validate retained EVM Evidence against exact unchanged source-carrier bytes.

Attribute regex inventory failures to the accepted search operation while retaining wire identity, typed outcomes, captured facts and live cleanup dependencies. Preserve exact cancellation reasons at inventory and progress completion.

Replace synchronous Java execution with bounded owned commands. Keep task-scoped readiness observations fresh across later tasks, defer target client prerequisites behind a closeable owner, and join doctor cancellation and cleanup.
Preserve completed physical failures across late cancellation, exact cleanup dependencies and partial observations. Admit target/profile inputs before probing and return typed factory failures instead of unavailable client wrappers.
Validation: 405 focused tests across 24 files, 2 explicit skips; 109 provider/doctor controls rerun after final admission refinement; check:fast and docs:check. Controlled macOS Java-shaped commands and public CLI/MCP workflows; no new JVM/Ghidra or Windows/Linux lifecycle verification.
Measured warm public doctor baseline/candidate: elapsed 0.447/1.223s, CPU 0.624/1.237s, sampled family RSS 379/529MB, reply tokens 3133/3133. Ownership adds cost; no performance improvement claimed. True cold, whole-agent and MCP costs unmeasured.

Bind pending SDK resources to exact cleanup leases, coalesce disposal, and retry only unresolved children. Shared startup callers retain final cleanup while independent peers can cancel their waits.
Attribute SDK aborts by exact owned rejection identity, preserve physical failures under late cancellation, and retain completed Evidence at the application boundary.

* feat(android): make the JADX operation deadline configurable
JADX operations used a fixed 120 s provider deadline and a separate fixed
120 s per-call bound in the session, so an APK whose cold load exceeds
120 s could not complete, and raising only the MCP client timeout could
not extend either. Add REA_JADX_OPERATION_TIMEOUT_MS, parsed once by the
JADX configuration owner (decimal milliseconds from 1 to 2147483647,
default 120000). The provider resolves it before acquiring anything and
uses it for the operation deadline and its timeout errors, and the session
uses it for every upstream call. Doctor reports the effective value, and
setup forwards an explicit value like the other JADX settings.

* test(android): isolate JADX fixtures from inherited shell settings
The shared JADX protocol fixture spread the developer's process.env, so an
exported REA_JADX_OPERATION_TIMEOUT_MS (or REA_JADX_HEAP_MIB) changed every
provider test that never selected one. Keep inheriting the host environment
for process launch, but take REA_JADX_* settings only from the fixture.

Identify the Cutter host through Qt applicationVersion rather than the embedded Rizin module-version report. Preserve unknown host metadata without backend fallback and reuse the existing per-plugin lifetime observation.
Validated 13 Python protocol tests, 66 related CLI/MCP/provider tests, full static/docs gates, and official Linux Cutter 2.5.0 Qt5 public workflows. Native discovery and both Evidence version fields match the independently observed host version; source paths and cleanup remain preserved. The named-tool workflow serialization proxy drops from 8767 to 6912 o200k tokens; this is not model billing.

Read file.path through CutterCore's scalar configuration API instead of invoking the debug-only currentlyOpenFile backup field. Preserve exact string paths and unknowns so existing discovery, generation admission and Evidence consumers receive the owning facts.
Validated 11 Python protocol tests, 66 relevant CLI/MCP/provider tests, full static/docs gates, and official Linux Cutter 2.5.0 Qt5 workflows with a Unicode/#? ELF path. Same-path reload identity remains partial and native document switching is unverified.

* fix(browser): report cancellation after cleanup and source-map abort
An interrupt during CDP cleanup could still publish the captured page, and a source-map download abort was wrapped as a provider failure. Both now return AnalysisCancelledError for the requested operation.
* fix(setup): keep Devin configuration JSON-formatted
The empty DSH_HOME fix also changed Devin's declared format to "devin", which is not a configuration format and stops the typecheck. Devin still writes mcp_config.json.
* test(browser): keep cleanup cancellation coverage in its own suite
The added interrupt cases made the existing lifecycle suite exceed the function-length lint limit.
* test(ghidra): drop the duplicated path join import
The inventory MCP test imported join twice, which fails lint on current main.
* test(cli): type the retained skill directory pairs

* fix(native): retain valid Objective-C properties beside a malformed record
readObjcPropertyList decoded a whole property_list_t in one operation.
When a later entry's name pointer was unmapped, the list-level catch
discarded the properties already decoded. An empty property name passed
decoding and then failed schema validation of the whole result, so
inspect-native-dispatch-metadata exited 1 with no metadata.
Each property_t entry is now decoded on its own. A failing entry, or an
empty name, becomes a property_decode_failed issue at the entry address,
and sibling properties are retained. Incomplete-attribute issues also
report their entry address. List-header failures still fail only that
list.

A plain new Worker("./w.js") or navigator.serviceWorker.register("./sw.js")
resolves against the document base URL in a browser, and a Node
worker_threads string resolves against the working directory. Static
analysis was resolving browser strings against the calling script, which
recorded a resolved mapping to the wrong file.
Only new Worker(new URL(path, import.meta.url)) now produces a specifier.
Other worker and service-worker strings keep their expression and stay
unresolved, matching the existing worker_threads string handling.

* perf(native): skip llvm-nm's dyld-info pass when the symbol table names every export
inspect_macho ran `nm -gjU`, whose default dyld-info pass takes seconds on
large apps (Keynote arm64 5.8 s, x86_64 10.2 s) yet under -gU can only add
export-trie names that dyld_info -exports already reports. Run
`nm -gjU --no-dyldinfo` and rerun the default pass only when dyld_info
reports an export the symbol table lacks (e.g. strip -T), so its exact
names still disambiguate dyld_info rows.

* fix(native): derive Mach-O word size and byte order from the selected slice
inspect_macho read endian and word_size from `file -b` for the whole
file. macOS `file` never prints a Mach-O byte order, so endian was null
for every target. For a universal binary, word_size matched "64-bit"
anywhere in the summary instead of describing the selected slice, and it
was null for a thin 32-bit slice.
Both now come from the selected slice's otool header: the magic gives
the word size and the CPU family gives the byte order (x86 and ARM
little, PowerPC big, other families unknown). The file capture is no
longer needed by inspect_macho, so it is no longer run there.

* fix(native): parse renamed dyld_info re-exports
dyld_info prints a re-export whose name differs from the source library's
symbol as `[re-export] _foo_renamed (_foo from libfoo)`. The export parser
only accepted `(from libfoo)`, so inspect_macho reported a nonexistent
export named `_foo_renamed (_foo from libfoo)` with no source, and the nm
row for `_foo_renamed` survived the name-based merge as a second export
with reexport null.
Accept the optional source symbol, trying the plain `(from lib)` form
first so a library name containing ` from ` keeps its text. The row now
reports `_foo_renamed` re-exported from libfoo and replaces the nm
duplicate. The export schema has no field for the source symbol name, so
exports coverage records a limitation when a renamed re-export is present.
The golden fixture is a dyld_info capture of a synthetic dylib linked with
-Wl,-alias,_foo,_foo_renamed.
* fix(native): split dyld re-export suffix without nested quantifiers
Replace the (?:(.+?)\s+)??from lazy-optional group with a linear string
scan so malformed lines cannot backtrack and a library path containing
" from " still keeps its whole text via the plain-form-first check.

* feat(browser): attach passive tools to browsers without HTTP discovery
Accept a literal loopback browser WebSocket,
ws://127.0.0.1:PORT/devtools/browser/ID, as the cdp_endpoint of the six
passive browser tools. Discovery then reads Browser.getVersion and
Target.getTargets over that socket, and the target session adopts the
same socket, so a browser that asks for consent per connection prompts
once per call.
The socket identifier gates access, so Evidence records the endpoint as
ws://127.0.0.1:PORT/devtools/browser/[REDACTED], and runtime
reconciliation accepts that recorded form. HTTP endpoints and their
Evidence are unchanged. Electron, web runtime, scenario and Inspector
endpoints stay HTTP-only.
Refs #2288
* test(browser): match browser-socket captures against HTTP discovery
Check in the real Chrome lane that DevToolsActivePort names the same
browser socket as /json/version, and that inspecting the selected page
through that socket leaves DOM structure and scripts unchanged compared
with an inspection through HTTP discovery.
Refs #2288
* fix(browser): bound browser-socket handshake and report discovery timeouts
Run the browser-socket WebSocket handshake and both discovery commands
under one discovery deadline, so a port that accepts the connection but
never completes the upgrade times out instead of waiting forever.
Report a reached deadline as a timeout without carrying the internal
abort as its cause, so CLI and MCP project provider_timeout rather than
cancelled. Caller cancellation is still reported as cancelled.
