Use pinned tsrs on supported development hosts while retaining stable official
TypeScript on Windows and unsupported platforms. Partition compile/typecheck
caches by actual compiler and qualify fallback hosts for compiler inputs and
lifecycle hooks.
Reduce PE acceptance startup through the existing bounded compiled CLI. Retain
upstream named MCP definitions, every fixture/assertion and the original 30s
deadline. Verify that browser transport loss preserves the observed target.
Validation: full qualification and real host lanes in
https://github.com/morluto/rea/actions/runs/39590450889 ; 450 focused regressions
passed with two documented conditional skips. All 1724 production emit files
match SHA-256 and size across both compilers. Current-head Codex/Greptile review
found no actionable issues. Measurements and limitations are in the PR.

Replace synchronous Java execution with bounded owned commands. Keep task-scoped readiness observations fresh across later tasks, defer target client prerequisites behind a closeable owner, and join doctor cancellation and cleanup.
Preserve completed physical failures across late cancellation, exact cleanup dependencies and partial observations. Admit target/profile inputs before probing and return typed factory failures instead of unavailable client wrappers.
Validation: 405 focused tests across 24 files, 2 explicit skips; 109 provider/doctor controls rerun after final admission refinement; check:fast and docs:check. Controlled macOS Java-shaped commands and public CLI/MCP workflows; no new JVM/Ghidra or Windows/Linux lifecycle verification.
Measured warm public doctor baseline/candidate: elapsed 0.447/1.223s, CPU 0.624/1.237s, sampled family RSS 379/529MB, reply tokens 3133/3133. Ownership adds cost; no performance improvement claimed. True cold, whole-agent and MCP costs unmeasured.
Refs #4561. Remaining installation file admission tracked in #4672.
Carry asynchronous readiness through provider selection, session status, CLI and MCP. Join observations during cancellation and shutdown, keep status readable during finalization, and retain mixed provider errors and exact cleanup dependencies through the shared inspection failure owner.
Validation: 255 focused tests across 18 files; 21 registry tests rerun with primary restoration assertion; check:fast; docs:check and 5 README conformance tests. Registered MCP and SDK schema checks use controlled providers; no real Ghidra/JVM verification.
This is a prerequisite for #4561. The synchronous Ghidra Java producer and its doctor/client ownership migration remain unfinished.
BREAKING CHANGE: binary_session candidate availability can be unknown during owner finalization. Consumers must handle this state; the internal session status API is now asynchronous.

Join pending profile producers on cancellation and shutdown. Preserve failed results before later signals, retain every automatic-selection cleanup owner, and move profile file ownership into the registry.
Related: #4569
Allow the composed one-shot dispatch workflow to open a covered Mach-O
without selecting a deep provider. The registry still owns selector
precedence; explicit request/environment choices remain binding, while
non-Mach-O and unsupported hosts retain deep symbol fallback. Requested
snapshots keep ordinary binding and profile semantics.
Share runtime composition and target admission with the native byte reader.
Keep target parsing, resource ownership and Evidence on the original session.
Validation: 13 focused files, 192 passed and 2 skipped; npm run check passed.
The six previously blocked native property CLI controls now pass. Ten measured
CLI workflows preserved exact metadata facts; warm raw reply token medians
1344/927, elapsed .475/.547s, CPU .691/.745s, sampled family RSS351.2/359.3MiB
baseline/candidate. Baseline used explicit Ghidra workaround; true cold and
full-agent costs unmeasured. No speed/memory improvement or Windows claim.
Refs #4555
Share tagged readiness observations, retain partial provider facts, authenticate bridge identity, bound diagnostics, and preserve cancellation and lost-session reasons. Fail closed for unparsed MIPS ABI attributes and macOS saved Hopper databases without a script-capable bridge route.

Validation: 285 focused source/boundary tests passed. Real Ghidra, IDA, Linux Hopper, and Windows provider runs were not repeated.
BREAKING CHANGE: MIPS targets with unresolved GNU ABI attributes and saved Hopper databases on macOS are refused rather than advertised as supported.
When every registered deep provider rejected a target, select() returned
an intentionally unbound success for any concrete environment selector,
including one that names no registered provider. A misconfigured
REA_ANALYSIS_PROVIDER therefore opened the target unbound, and the later
deep-operation diagnostic blamed target support instead of the unknown
configuration. The same identifier requested explicitly already failed
with unknown_provider.
Take the unbound shortcut only for a registered environment preference.
An unknown configured identifier now reaches concrete selection and fails
with unknown_provider, matching the explicit request. Registered
preferences and auto still leave artifact-only targets unbound.
Fixes#2592
Deliver complete Evidence directly through MCP with required nullable analysis profiles and immutable per-server delivery settings. Bind selected environments at construction and require typed cleanup outcomes with retained retry ownership.
Remove test-only routing, duplicate session and snapshot metadata, producer-field repairs, and ambiguous provider arguments. Separate artifact byte identity from occurrence classification and retain typed source-map and partial native facts across CLI, MCP, and verifier consumers.
BREAKING CHANGE: obsolete Evidence envelopes, session aliases, incomplete snapshots, and missing normalized producer facts are no longer accepted.
