Classify selected-input read failures at the shared artifact boundary and remove duplicate phase-based translations from TShark and sigrok. Keep other read stages raw for their existing owners and retain cleanup resources until retry succeeds.
Extend the descriptor outcome matrix with post-run private-copy integrity failures, late cancellation, retained command output, failed cleanup, and successful retry.
Keep staged recording names as relative file operands, including a literal dash. Recognize exact selected input-option refusal captions even when sigrok exits successfully or a caller key contains a newline; retain producer diagnostics and typed request failures across CLI/MCP.

Recognize the exact selected-channel diagnostic even when sigrok-cli exits successfully, while preserving partial producer output in the invalid-input details. Cover both public JSON adapters and add the missing-channel case to the Linux real-tool verifier.

Copy recordings under a private filename that retains the caller-selected final suffix, and pass that filename to sigrok. This restores filename-based autodetection without exposing the source directory.

* fix(mcp): report Linux-only integrations as unsupported_host off their hosts
Session discovery folded the host check into each optional integration's
enabled flag, so on macOS or Windows the Linux-only packet, signal,
firmware, pwntools, EVM and Wakaru tools reported provider_missing.
Their execution guards refuse those hosts whatever is configured, so
installing a provider there could never make them available.
The server now records, per integration, when the host is outside its
verified host and no service is injected. Discovery checks that before
configuration and reports unsupported_host with the existing
remediation. Injected services and supported hosts behave as before.

* refactor(mcp): share provider host checks with session discovery
Discovery restated each Linux-only integration's host rule in
createServer while its provider kept a separate execution check, so the
two could drift apart again. Each provider now exports its host
predicate, uses it in its execution guard, and composition hands the
same predicate to createServer for both the host restriction and the
enabled flag.
Observed host restrictions now also apply when an embedder supplies its
own availability policy, as provider load failures already do, because
no policy lets the default providers pass their host checks.
The MCP regression moves to tests/process-global and emulates darwin
arm64, linux arm64 and linux x64 through the real createServer, so CI on
Linux x64 exercises the unsupported-host branch. It also covers a
configured policy and the matching execution refusals.

* fix(mcp): keep caller host restrictions beside observed ones
The observed host restriction replaced a configured policy's whole
hostUnsupported map. For an injected service the observed value is
false, so a caller's own restriction was lost and the tool was reported
available. Combine both per integration: either the caller or the
observed host can mark it unsupported.

* test(pcap): expect unsupported_host for packet tools off Linux
The host-independent PATH case asserted provider_missing on every host.
Off Linux the packet tools are unavailable because of the host, so
discovery now reports unsupported_host there; Linux still reports
provider_missing for an unusable PATH.

* fix(pcap): report workspace allocation failures by their system cause
Pcap workspace allocation and snapshot writes mapped every filesystem
error, including ENOTDIR and EACCES from mkdtemp, to a file-size resource
constraint with null limits and worker file-size advice. Flutter's owned
snapshot storage had the same errno-blind mapping, while TShark and sigrok
carried duplicate copies of the correct split.
Move the private-workspace failure projection into one shared owner:
ENOSPC/EDQUOT/EFBIG stay file-size resource constraints with their system
code and path; descriptor exhaustion and every other failure become
provider workspace failures carrying stage, workspace path, failing path,
system code and cause-specific recovery.

* fix(flutter): locate owned storage failures by their workspace
mapOwnedIoFailure always passed a null workspace path, so a descriptor
write or read failure without its own errno path lost every location.
Thread the owned root through: allocation keeps null (no workspace yet),
snapshot failures use the allocated root, and package-reader system
errors propagate to the request owner, which maps them against the
snapshot root instead of mapping early without it.

Name REA_SWIFTC_COMPILE_TIMEOUT_MS, its effective milliseconds, the
1..2147483647 range, and the omitted 120000 ms default when a Darwin
ownership-helper compile times out. A change applies after REA restarts,
on the next ownership-helper compile.
Producer SIGXCPU and SIGXFSZ recovery says REA retains the tighter
inherited limit. Agent-visible fixed caps in this theme say this release
has no runtime override. Numbers are unchanged.

inspect_signal_decoders turned sigrok's explicit missing-decoder refusal
into execution_failure with rea doctor advice, while decode_signal_recording
already reported the same refusal as invalid_request on decoders.
The sigrok selector classifier now owns the unknown-ID match for both
selections: help names the decoder field and points to catalog discovery,
decoding keeps decoders/annotations. The provider passes each producer
command's caller selection to that one owner instead of per-call closures.
Installed decoders that fail to load and refusals naming other IDs remain
provider failures. The real-sigrok verifier now asserts the typed refusal
for both operations.

sigrok-cli refusals of a caller-supplied decoder ID or annotation class
were reported as execution_failure with "Run `rea doctor`" advice, which
has no sigrok check. Recognize the observed sigrok-cli 0.7.2 refusals at
the provider boundary only when the rejected name matches a caller
selector, and report invalid_request naming the decoders or annotations
argument, retaining the captured output and pointing to
inspect_signal_decoders. Other non-zero exits stay provider failures.

* fix(errors): name fixed allowances in resource-constraint recovery
Fixed parser, count, report, input, and capture refusals inherited
host-memory, wait-and-retry, or retained-Evidence advice. Producers now
attach allowance-specific recovery, and deterministic capacity caps are
not retryable. IL2CPP reader occupancy stays retryable capacity.

* fix(il2cpp): keep a closing metadata reader non-retryable
close() stops admission before the active inspection finishes. A second
inspect in that window was projected as retryable capacity. Closing and
closed readers now report capability_unavailable. Occupied readers that
remain open stay retryable.
* fix(errors): align fixed-cap recovery with retained facts
IL2CPP report refusals keep observed source facts instead of denying Evidence. Command-output caps use the capture allowance. Ghidra seed recovery names the limit that was exceeded.
* fix(errors): call byte caps a byte allowance
WASM representation limits and the IL2CPP Ghidra seed-file cap are byte budgets. Their recovery no longer says the exceeded allowance is a fixed count.
* test(ida): keep unresolved procedure lookups non-retryable
Main now treats an unchanged invalid request as non-retryable. The IDA lookup tests follow that projection.
* fix(errors): qualify capture recovery for live output
A fixed capture allowance still rejects the same output. Live captures such as adb logcat can change between requests, so recovery no longer says every unchanged request fails again.
* fix(adb): keep a truncated live capture retryable
Device output can shrink between calls, so an adb capture that exceeds the allowance stays retryable. Deterministic capture and version-output limits stay non-retryable.
* fix(adb): keep truncated mutations non-retryable
Only live observations opt into retrying a capture that exceeded the allowance. Push, install, uninstall, and other mutations stay non-retryable.
* fix(errors): keep live capture recovery off deterministic limits
Artifact-derived capture allowances again say the unchanged request fails. Only volatile adb observations use the live-output sentence.

Classify canonical physical file outcomes through the provider mapper before composing cleanup. Retain unknown capabilities as unresolved and replace runtime failure maps with exact leases, including mixed cleanup and partial retry.
Keep completed-read cancellation output and cleanup history. Closes#4865.
Validation: 179 unique focused tests passed across 13 selected files, 7 Linux-only skips; static checks, docs checks and 1551-file discovery passed. Authored Node producers and controlled real-descriptor faults do not qualify native providers.
Wire sigrok and tshark finalization to the effective signal. Services and file-failure adapters retain exact opaque reasons and completed Evidence instead of guessing from error names. Preserve typed primary outcomes through failed cleanup and recovery.
Validation: latest per-file coverage is 114 passing tests across nine selected files with 14 explicit Linux-only skips; core foundation passes independently. check:fast, docs and discovery pass. Four finalization controls failed before the signal ownership fix. Bounded completed authored-producer service workflows have identical Evidence with no performance improvement claim. Real sigrok/tshark and native Linux/Windows were not verified.
Closes#4858
Bind retained descriptors and runtime resources to their admitting operation until cleanup succeeds, then rebind newly admitted work. Verify failed retries, successful recovery, shutdown and CLI projection.
