Respect Node asynchronous exec/execFile method-default stdio instead of interpreting an ignored option. Remove the superseded callback-shape query while preserving caller input, Evidence, uncertainty, argv and fork controls. Independently validated on current main through actual Node pipe capture, matching real-app CLI/MCP facts, 81 targeted tests and static checking. Closes#7217.
Preserve XML, OpenStep and binary dictionary keys at their format owners. Share validated binary reference facts with materialization while retaining scalar precision, UID identity and bounded expansion. Migrate archive, Interface Builder, native and app-bundle consumers, then remove obsolete key-omission accounting and schema copies.
Validated source regressions and compiled CLI/MCP workflows, including native plist fidelity and archive identity. Typecheck, lint, docs and test discovery pass. No performance benchmarks were required.
* fix(mcp)!: return a compact binary_session status by default
binary_session {} with no target open returned about 66 KB, most of it
provider rejection diagnostics and candidate capability sets that the
skill's recovery flow re-reads on every retry. 6.8.0 grew it by 21%
because the shared regex capability limitation began repeating setting
bounds and step-by-step recovery for every search operation of every
provider (#6099, #6267, #6301, #7049) and IDA gained that limitation for
its two search operations (#4862).
The regex limitation now states the effective deadline and heap, their
sources and where to change them; the deadline and heap errors keep the
full recovery. binary_session gains detail: summary (default) or
complete. The summary keeps open state, target identity, the binding,
route capabilities, run, activity and health status, each candidate's
availability and target-support status, code and reason, and every
tool's availability, reason, remediation and modes, and lists the
fields it leaves out in omitted_fields. Complete detail returns the
previous shape. The CLI capabilities and providers commands keep
complete provider facts through the same application projection.
BREAKING CHANGE: binary_session {} no longer returns
analysis_provider_candidates[].availability.diagnostics,
target_support.diagnostics or capabilities, or tool_availability group
surface, effects and annotations. Pass {"detail": "complete"} to get
them.

* fix(mcp): key binary_session output fields by detail
The output schema accepted detail: "complete" with summary candidates or
tool groups, and a summary without omitted_fields, so detail did not
tell callers which fields existed. Each session kind is now crossed
with a detail-specific shape: a summary requires omitted_fields and
summary-only candidates and tool groups; complete requires diagnostics,
candidate capabilities and static tool flags and forbids omitted_fields.
Both the canonical schema and the SDK-validated advertised schema reject
mismatched shapes.
The verifier helper accepts summary candidates only for a validated MCP
summary; CLI provider output still requires candidate capabilities.
Regex limitation tests check values, sources and setting names instead
of whole sentences.

* fix(javascript): bind defaulted and destructured Webpack factory roles
A Webpack factory whose module parameter was defaulted (`e = {}`) or
destructured (`{exports: x}`) reported an exact empty export list with
complete coverage, because roles were taken only from plain identifiers.
Bind factory roles once, by position, in javascriptBundlerFactoryRoles.
Defaulted module/exports parameters keep their role (the convention always
supplies the argument), `{exports: alias}` binds the alias to
module.exports, and a repeated sloppy parameter name binds its last
argument. Other role patterns (rest, array, nested or computed keys, a
non-identifier loader) receive no role and count as an unknown finding,
so the file's analysis is partial instead of claiming no exports. The
export collector, the factory require name and the standalone bootstrap
externals all use these parsed roles.

* fix(javascript): keep factory receivers through unordered reads
A defaulted role parameter kept the unused default in the binding facts
passed to write ordering, so a receiver read inside a loop, nested block
or closure was unresolved and its export silently dropped while the
module stayed complete.
The role owner now removes defaults the calling convention never runs
before ordering. Separately, an export-shaped write through a role
binding whose read stays unordered now counts as an unknown finding
instead of being dropped, so an incomplete list is never reported as
complete.

* fix(javascript): treat never-run factory parameter defaults as dead code
Removing unused defaults from binding facts let writes inside a default
expression reach the export collector: `(e = {}, t = (() => {
e.exports.ghost = 1; })())` reported `ghost` although Webpack supplies
both arguments. Loader calls in such defaults also produced require
references and async chunk keys.
The role owner now records the default of every role parameter, any
binding pattern included, as never run. The export collector, the
async-chunk walk and the static source traversal skip those subtrees,
so they yield no exports, references or chunk keys. Defaults of later,
non-role parameters still run and are still reported.

Content-identical assets share a node whose observations are ordered by identity. Accept either retained display path when selecting that node, while retaining exact per-path reference and observation assertions.
Separate syntax, semantic uncertainty, examination limits and observed Electron applicability at the static producer, then preserve them through worker, graph and retained/inline summary views. Derive the established parse_status from the same facts and leave historical measurements unknown. Give semantic resource-limit classifications one schema owner.
Replace repeated block-prefix searches and copies with collector-scoped syntax indexes. Keep invocation environments separate, charge indexing/replay to the existing work budget and yield during prefix work. Remove the superseded synchronous collector entrypoint.
Validated producer, worker, CLI/MCP, historical and partial-coverage regressions, plus actual cancellation during indexing. Bounded authored 128/256-call controls preserved all prior facts while replacing repeated search/copy work with one index pass; this is not a throughput or agent-token benchmark.
Explain unreadable ELF note section names without discarding complete note coverage. Keep export and PE import rows when only version or DLL-name metadata is unresolved, and stop claiming those retained rows were unreported.
Use native byte equality for the 4 MiB ELF extended-numbering source-preservation checks; generic deep equality enumerated every buffer byte and exhausted the test worker heap. The full fixture and byte coverage remain.
Validation: focused ELF note, native export, and PE import regressions plus complete CLI/MCP adapter files passed under the existing 512 MiB heap limit. Build, typecheck/lint, formatting, and documentation checks passed.
Add lambdas names-filter selector cases to checkSelectors:
- names: ['start'] returns the matching lambda with resolved fields
- names: ['missing'] returns an empty page
Add a chunks no-match case:
- names: ['Xyzz'] returns an empty page for an absent chunk tag
Also clarify in docs/erlang-beam.md what names selects for each
collection: the four-character IFF tag for chunks, the resolved
function name (never null) for lambdas, and the decoded atom name
string for atoms.

* feat(cli): accept JavaScript source selections from a JSON array or file
Add --source-paths-json to analyze and analyze-javascript-application.
It takes an inline JSON array or a JSON file path of exact inventoried
paths and appends them after any --source-path values, so a long
selection no longer has to fit on one command line (cmd.exe through npx
on Windows stops at 8,191 characters). Entries stay artifact-relative and
go through the existing source_paths validation; the native lane rejects
the option like --source-path.
Refs #4987
* fix(cli): cancel --source-paths-json file reads with the command
Pass the command's abort signal through parseCliJsonInput to
readJsonInputFile, so SIGINT/SIGTERM stop a selection-file read instead
of waiting for it to finish. A cancelled read now propagates its abort
rather than being reported as a file read failure.
* test(cli): preserve ASAR identity for JSON file selections
* docs(cli): record source-selection task costs and identity verification

Remove the redundant spelling gate after the shared intrinsic owner proves native constructor and source-base identity. Retain local-constructor and replaced-export uncertainty through public application analysis.
Successful worker transport can carry an explicit failed parser status
with no semantic projection. Preserve that producer fact through the
shared source-availability interpretation used by full and incremental
graph construction, rather than dropping the source's semantic scope.
Retain the module when capacity permits, per-family incomplete-module
unknowns, and unknown omitted extents. Preserve existing operational
failure reasons and limits without classifying syntax as resource loss.
Document this coverage behavior.
Validation: regression-first run had 3 expected failures; all 22 selected
projection and public CLI source-selection/HTML cases passed after repair.
No JavaScript target execution or live external provider was involved.
Use one lossless Mach-O name projection for symbols and dependency paths, retaining undecodable bytes and partial binding facts. Keep referenced NIB string failures unknown and preserve their source nodes through the shared lazy projection. Valid Unicode, readable sibling metadata and weak-bind scope remain usable.
Exercise the producer and CLI/MCP consumers, and align date-overlap and object-capacity fixtures with their owning archive contracts without relaxing admission or omission assertions.
Reuse filesystem-aware path selection for resource-only plist sessions so directory symlinks and trailing separators retain their meaning. Parse dyld bind names once as lossless text or exact bytes, preserving partial binding facts and independent valid metadata without invented class identities. Keep coverage issues separate from known opcode applicability and exercise both producer and generated Mach-O consumers.
Parse declarations before selecting values, admit safe integers once, and retain bounded raw numeric issues. Preserve display and package selection policies while distinguishing absent and malformed values.
Keep completed display facts in typed physical-size failures, share the existing diagnostic sample limit, and verify real CLI/MCP contracts with a strict fake ADB.
Closes#6792.
ELF images with `PT_DYNAMIC` but no `SHT_DYNSYM` section incorrectly reported a complete, empty export inventory. The shared ELF directory reader now owns the dynamic-segment observation; CLI/MCP report `unsupported` with a reason. Existing symbol-table results remain intact. Read-only format correction; no new execution authority or public schema.
Validation on the current main integration:
- `npm run check`, test discovery, and 166 selected Linux tests pass, including actual CLI/stdio MCP cases and PE/IL2CPP/GPU/Rust reader consumers. Original author validation: 113 tests on macOS, including regressions that failed before the fix; test discovery passed.
- Real Debian libc (1,926,232 bytes) and libLLVM 14 (109,967,296 bytes), with only section-header-count/name-index bytes changed, reproduce the old false absence in both public adapters. The reviewed implementation returns unsupported in both adapters. Independent Python maps unchanged `PT_DYNAMIC` declarations and selected symbol bytes; original `readelf` agrees. The reduced files are not loaded or executed; `readelf -D` itself cannot enumerate these reduced layouts, and that failed oracle attempt is retained.
- Unmodified libc still returns all 3,025 exports, byte-identical complete Evidence and the same Evidence ID as the baseline. Resource-guarded public probes completed without stops or payload leftovers. No speed, memory or model-token improvement is claimed for this coverage fix.
Codex review completed with no findings. CI failed: all 61 observed failures (including 47 omitted from the aggregate report by canceled shards) reproduce with identical complete failure diagnostics on the exact CI base and merge trees. Baseline-only bypass is explicitly authorized for this maintenance session; canceled/skipped coverage remains unverified. See the final CI attribution comment.
