* feat(pe): inspect import and delay-load tables
Add inspect_pe_imports / inspect-pe-imports to read PE32/PE32+ import
and delay-load directories without executing the image. The report keeps
DLL names, named and ordinal functions, ILT/IAT RVAs, and a pefile
import hash of the standard import table. A missing directory is
observed absence, not proof the image never imported APIs.
* fix(pe): default PE import fixture options
Allow peImportImage() without an argument so CLI and filesystem tests
can use the KERNEL32 sample without repeating an empty options object.
* test(pe): keep import path cases on the dedicated MCP contract
inspect_pe_imports already rejects relative MCP paths in its own
boundary test. Leave the shared absolute-path matrix to tools whose
handler issue projection matches that suite's expected shape.
* fix(native): index virtual-to-file mapping lookups
mappedFileOffset scans every mapping twice per span, so a parser that
translates one span per table entry costs sections x entries. Add
fileMappingLookup, which builds an O(n log n) interval index once and
answers each span in O(log n) with the same accept, reject and
translation results. A differential test checks it against
mappedFileOffset over randomized overlapping mappings and zero fills.

* fix(pe): report partial import evidence and exact pefile hashes
- Withhold imphash with an explicit reason whenever the standard import
table is partial (unreadable names or thunks, missing tables), or when
pefile 2024.8.26 would hash a different row sequence: invalid or
truncated names, ordinal 0, descriptors without functions, tables its
bounds or repeat/spread heuristics discard, and its 8192-thunk import
symbol cap. Delay-load issues do not withhold it.
- Hash ordinal imports with pefile's complete ordlookup tables and its
ord<decimal> fallback instead of declining unmapped ordinals.
- Report a nonterminal descriptor whose FirstThunk is zero, and a
delay-load descriptor whose IAT or INT RVA is zero, as malformed_entry
partial coverage instead of a complete empty inventory.
- Directory evidence lists the file spans actually consumed for the
descriptor array and terminator; discontiguous mappings produce
separate spans and separate Evidence ranges.
- Carry exhausted limits as PeImportLimitFailure.limit and derive
recovery from it; the fixed 16 MiB retained-text ceiling reports a
fixed allowance instead of max_file_bytes advice.
- Translate RVAs through the indexed mapping lookup and yield with a
cancellation check every 1024 table entries.

* fix(pe): read only own ordinal tables for DLL names
DLL names such as constructor and __proto__ pass pefile's name rule but
resolved inherited object members, throwing before the ord<n> fallback.

When Smart App Control or an App Control policy refuses
rea-windows-x64.node, the loader reported the failure as the artifact
stage. Doctor and provider diagnostics then told the user to restore or
rebuild the native files, although their version and SHA-256 had
already matched the package manifest.
The loader now tags a failure of the module load itself, after the
manifest and digest checks pass, as the load stage. The reason keeps the
Windows error text and says that restoring the file cannot help, that
Ghidra and JADX need the native controls, that rea setup can still
register clients, and that REA must run where policy allows the file or
the maintainers can be asked about a signed build. Readiness keeps the
documented runtime_missing code for unloadable artifacts.
Setup does not depend on the native controls: with the addon
unavailable, the published 6.7.0 CLI still planned and applied the
claude_code registration, so no setup gate is changed.
Fixes#5723
Use exact recorded start facts for state extraction independently of derived clock formatting limits. Preserve millisecond interval policy, missing-time fallback, redacted-write cutoffs, and bounded timestamp retention; remove the superseded clock comparator.
Two source and two compiled CLI regressions reproduced post-write values being selected as initial state. State/clock/date, CLI/MCP view, and static checks passed after the fix.
Move the synthetic evaluator and its unchanged semantic tests out of the shipped runtime. Retain actual CLI and MCP Evidence separately from the synthetic nine-stage baseline in a versioned verifier artifact, execute its reported conformance checks, and assign the verifier to its CI lane.
Validation: evaluator/state/classifier source suites, compiled CLI/MCP views, verify:readiness, static checks, build and docs passed. Readiness observed coverage is static analysis; fixture runtime behavior and reconstruction closure were not executed.
Resolve the filesystem-selected manifest parent once before deriving script paths and reuse the shared containment rule. Preserve selected manifest spelling and capture metadata while retaining source integrity, symlink refusal and cleanup. Cover differing and identical lexical siblings through both artifact consumers and public CLI/MCP parity.
Move body-retention coverage accounting to the manifest request-line owner. Preserve source retention facts by ordinal and remove the competing eligibility rule from scenario projection.
Remove the redundant spelling gate after the shared intrinsic owner proves native constructor and source-base identity. Retain local-constructor and replaced-export uncertainty through public application analysis.
Consume the signature producer status before inferring operand-resolution limits. Preserve exact byte-match provenance while malformed paired signatures remain unknown through current and historical Evidence, CLI and MCP.
Retire the unused graph serialization facade and use one typed query implementation after canonical request admission. Migrate tests to the owning schemas while preserving graph commitments, Unicode transport, provenance, uncertainty, traversal and reconstruction controls.
* feat(javascript): link assignment right-hand sides to their writes
A declaration carries its value forward, but a later assignment to a
variable, a property or through a compound operator stopped the forward
trace at the right-hand-side read. The semantic IR now records one
syntactic assignment flow per simple assignment target (ranges, operator,
owning callable), and the graph projection connects each retained read
of the right-hand side to the write occurrence through a defines
relation. Compound assignments also consume the previous value of the
target; the written value itself stays unknown, keeping the boundary of
#4342 intact.

* fix(javascript): preserve computed key assignment ownership
* test(javascript): retain nested callback assignment ownership
* docs(javascript): record assignment influence verification
* test(mcp): isolate mocks and acknowledge cancellation boundaries
* test(javascript): retain CLI diagnostics and current-main verification

Use the authoritative scenario schema directly in all 25 test consumers. Preserve unknown-input annotations and every lifecycle, permission, normalization, identity and cleanup assertion; retain the separate branded capture validation boundary.
Retire test-only coverage and verifier constructors while preserving the live authenticated reader and evaluation path. Derive fixture inputs from the canonical contract schema and author commitments with an independent canonical JSON hash. Remove redundant success assertions while retaining typed failures and semantic controls.
Remove the unused estimator export. Check storage and escaping through typed authentication refusals with fixed allowances, preserving bounded traversal and acceptance controls.
Remove test-only completion and historical manifest parsers, use authoritative completion schemas, and keep graph hashing with the validated manifest producer. Verify commitments with independent canonical JSON and SHA-256 checks through domain and public CLI workflows.
Remove the isolated package, replay and trust-gate modules with their synthetic-only tests. No application, CLI/MCP, verifier or package export consumes them. Keep active provider completion, managed conformance, fixture verification, readiness and reconstruction coverage paths.
Retain the selected catalog path with captured assetutil failures and malformed metadata. Map two explicit selected-path invalid-catalog diagnostics to the existing format error while preserving other failure classifications. Verify the observed diagnostic through the real CLI and stdio MCP using a truncated temporary catalog and an unchanged valid control.
Reject normalization omission counts that exceed unknown-size rendered frames at the shared capture parser. Preserve historical captures without the optional stage counter and expose the same constraint through CLI and MCP diagnostics.
Use the active in-scope materializer directly from the existing inventory fixture, with the same explicit resource-scope admission and cleanup owner. Keep staged snapshot mutation and extraction lifecycle regressions intact.
Remove the unintegrated memory-map and peripheral-attribution modules with their dedicated tests. No application, CLI/MCP contract, verifier or package export consumes them; the shipped firmware analysis and publication workflows remain unchanged.
Remove the undocumented name alias from list_names fallback and validate the canonical value rows with the existing strict policy. Keep record defaults in the public input contract and require explicit decoder budgets. Preserve provenance, partial coverage, source coordinates and typed failures in active application and MCP tests.
Pass the caller-selected input field to the shared managed parse-failure
owner. Derive filename and field from one comparison selection, reporting
leftPath or rightPath while ordinary inspection continues to report path.
Preserve typed input classification and completed-left partial Evidence.
Replace weaker direct malformed-input cases with a compiled CLI workflow
covering both sides, the healthy comparison, and sibling inspection.
Document the input-attribution contract.
Validation: the public regression reproduced the generic path issue;
focused CLI, comparison and shared-reader controls passed after repair.
No managed assembly or external analysis provider was executed.
Use one containing-procedure parser beside its declared schema for
navigation, address facets, and feature trace references. Keep the trace
cache and reference type bound to parsed facts, returning typed malformed
output before SDK projection instead of passing unchecked JSON onward.
Retain same-address search alternatives such as Kuna's distinct string
encodings. References identify target addresses, so observe and emit each
target once while retaining duplicate rows from the provider observation.
Remove address-only match collapse and redundant residual deduplication.
Document these semantics.
Validation: regression-first runs reproduced four malformed-resolution
failures and three alternative/reference-replay failures. Focused MCP and
consumer controls passed after repair. Real native engines were not run.
Retain relevant program facts in the shared native directory and consume them for mappings and relocations. Remove redundant table coordinates and presence flags. This preserves extended program counts so PT_DYNAMIC beyond the raw sentinel remains visible, while load and relocation admission keep their distinct policies.
Parse module metadata at the image reader that validates its framing. Consume those facts in the provider while preserving raw bytes, text uncertainty, source locations, parser semantics and the public report contract.
