- The Conversation binding tracking returns to master: the retainInfo subscription and the
plugin-owned binding effects are a separate fix, not a served-page seam.
- The deliverables opener drops the ownerHostRoutes parameter no caller passes any more.
- Assertions on existing connection and HMR behavior, the menu-open-state spec, and the
settings-general roster splice return to master.
- Workspace shortcuts no longer re-read Session access through source(); the Host refuses a
denied rename, fork, or archive.
- The sidebar New Session button, the window-chrome New Session control, and the expanded
brand shortcut render only while useRemoteAccess('session/create') allows it.
- The composer decides file intake from the Session-scope useAccess('fileUploads/upload')
answer, like Send and Stop. The optional fileIntake hook seat, the InputHub fileIntake
entries, and the ui-slots optional-hook typing are removed.
- The fixed Stop shortcut no longer re-reads session/cancel through a shared stop; the
button stays hidden by useAccess and the Host refuses a withdrawn cancel.
- uiConversation.noticeBranchRefusal, branch.ts, ForkRefusal, and message.branchRefused are
removed; a failed Chat branch leaves the source view unchanged, as on master.
* fix(ui): separate navigation pins from selection and show menu icons
* fix(ui): simplify More menus and fold conversation views on resize
* test(ui): fix navigation CI regressions and refresh catalogs
* refactor(ui): render sidebar panel icons directly
* fix(ui): keep Chat visible and stop persisting navigation pins
* refactor(ui): drop unreachable pin validation from in-memory stores
* feat(webserver): add resource routes and in-process readResource
A webserver route or the fallback seat may now answer through a resource,
a function from a Fetch Request to a Response, besides the existing
node:http handler. register accepts either route form and registerFallback
accepts a handler or { resource }; existing handler callers are unchanged.
HTTP GET and HEAD requests reach a resource; webServer.readResource(request,
peer) follows the same match order and reaches only resources, so handler
routes stay unreachable to in-process readers.
client-modules registers /plugins as the fetchBundle resource, and
frontend-static claims the fallback seat with a resource that renders the
index for a supplied Peer, or runs Connection's existing authorizeIndex for
an HTTP request and renders for the browser Peer.
* fix(webserver): flush resource headers and keep one drain listener per response
Resource responses send their status and headers before the first body
chunk, register one drain/close listener pair per response so the gzip
middleware's zlib stream does not accumulate listeners across backpressure
waits, and readResource drops the body of a HEAD read as HTTP does. HTTP
requests and readResource share one responder lookup.
* chore(scripts): prune the retired client-modules unknown-cast baseline entry
* feat(frontend-static): let browsers revalidate dist files except the index
Every dist file other than the rendered index now carries
cache-control: no-cache and a weak ETag from a SHA-1 of its bytes; a
request whose If-None-Match equals that ETag receives an empty 304. The
index keeps sending no cache headers. In-process reads through
webServer.readResource revalidate the same way.
* fix(webserver): stop reading Host for resource URLs and copy no held body
A resource request's URL is the request target resolved against the same
placeholder origin the route match uses, so a missing or unparsable Host no
longer turns a dist or /plugins request into 400. The webserver ends a
resource response itself and treats any earlier close as an abort, which
also covers the Web Worker tunnel marking an aborted response ended first.
client-modules bundle bodies and frontend-static file bodies are the held
bytes themselves instead of copies, and frontend-static no longer exports
its internal serveStatic helper.
* docs(webserver): document resource route types and the handler-or-resource fallback
Paste WebResource and WebResourceRoute beside WebRoute on the web-server
subsystem page and link the catalog signatures to it, replace the remaining
'fallback handler' wording now that the seat takes a handler or a resource,
and note why the drain listener removal is a no-op under gzip.
* ci: run native Windows PR jobs in a separate workflow
GitHub re-runs failed jobs only after a whole run finishes, so slow Windows jobs blocked re-running failed Linux jobs. CI Windows now owns the native Windows jobs and the Windows x64 Python runtime target, with its own required 'windows checks passed' verdict.
Refs #6893
* ci: run Python PR jobs in a separate workflow
Python rarely fails while the Windows lanes run long, so the Python SDK suite and the Linux/Windows x64 runtime matrix move into CI Python. The three pull-request workflows can now be re-run without waiting for each other, and branch protection gains "python checks passed" beside the existing verdicts.
Refs #6893
* docs: record the three PR verdicts in the failover runbook
* test: pin the shared environment across the PR workflows
* test: read the python SDK lane from CI Python
* test(sdk): parse session JSONL frames in the keyless smoke
Node 24.19 returned only the first frame of a concatenated zstd log, so the single JSON.parse saw just the header; 24.22 returns every frame and the JSONL body broke the parse. Read frames explicitly and select the main session by its header so both versions agree.
Bring master 45d1196d3fe into the release/dsh-0.2.1 squash commit of #6247
so the release commit stays an ancestor of master.
Conflict resolutions:
- apps/web/tsconfig.json, tsconfig.host.json: keep the entry-customization
e2e and master's Computer Use e2e entries.
- docs/subsystems/slots.{md,zh.md}: keep both added paragraphs; re-record the
slots, ui-primitives, and ui-workspace README translation pairs.
- ui-sidebar SidebarRoot.tsx and locales.ts: keep the More menu imports and
copy next to master's version-copy toast.
- apps/web/tests/agent-preset-selection.e2e.ts: keep the New Session
blank-reuse assertions, read presets through master's
sessionProjections.checkpoint() instead of the deprecated stateOf().
Follow-ups on master's side:
- ui-sidebar sidebar-root spec: give master's version-copy render the entry
pin props that SidebarRootInjected now requires.
- snapshots/web/steering/trajectory.expected.md: add the More conversation
views trigger to master's new Trajectory golden.
Fold room takes output growth before any scroll, like the empty space below content that fits, so the tail is pinned only when no room remains.
Refs #6637
A row whose ancestor finished closing sits under hidden="until-found", which keeps its own size but removes it from the flow. Finish such a row instead of driving it in a second batch that scrolls the view for content that occupies no space, and release held reveals when no closing member remains.

Describe async generator yields, key-conflict reads, and macrotask timing as implemented, restore the API controller and mods bridge sentence in the upgrade guide, record the rejected plugin-disposal alternative, and pin the async generator behavior with a test.
Record the deprecated registration and keyed-read compatibility in the retained-reader decision instead of a separate note, and remove the 2026-10-19 compatibility note.
A legacy plugin may store the registration result as a disposer or ignore it,
so a failed registration became an unhandled rejection that ends a dsh process.
The registry now attaches its own handler: once the current turn ends, a
rejection nobody observed through then/catch/finally is logged through the
calling plugin's logger while the plugin stays active, and one whose owner is
no longer loading or active is dropped. Observed rejections are unchanged.
- register() returns the registration's effect disposer with then/catch/finally
attached; the original body moves unchanged into a private acquire(), keeping
synchronous installation and the asynchronous handle handoff.
- Legacy stateOf(session, key) logs one ctx.logger.warn per key per registry;
registration and calls to its result no longer warn.
- Containing an ignored legacy registration failure is deferred and recorded
under Known Limitations.
Move the session projection handles guide from the released v0.2.1-alpha.3
directory to the current v0.2.1-rc.2 directory and fold in the callable
registration and deprecated keyed-read notes, replacing the separate
session-projection-registration guide.
Adding the `ProjectionKeySelection` import to the projection cache moved its
`Config`/`inject` declaration down one line, so the config catalog's source
reference is regenerated. Only the source location changes.
The fold blank matrix counted every band that no row box covered, including
a band whose rows on both sides had already faded to opacity 0. Such a band
shows the same background as those rows. Kept intermediate replies move with
the layout while closing groups stay in place, so that band could exceed the
transient limit in side/composer/steps without any visible difference.
A band now counts when a visible row borders it on either side, with the
viewport top and the composer treated as visible. A synthetic-DOM case keeps
a band beside a visible row failing the measurement.
- Export `ProjectionKeySelection` (the read faces' key selection) and reuse it
from the projection cache instead of restating the union twice. The Cordis
catalog can now resolve the type its generated signatures reference.
- Make `wire.summary` a plain boolean: omitted means `true`, and a key whose
map entry carries the summary mark declares `false` so the runtime key set
and the client view type agree. The type no longer forbids a declaration.
- Describe the mark accurately: it has no runtime representation; `wire.view`
and `viewSchema` are typed with `SessionProjectionViewValue`, which strips it,
so the registration erase only widens the state type.
- Say plainly in the package README, the subsystem page, the client field
comments, and the Agent Note that a list row carries the summary projection
and never the full projection: a connected Session's store may hold more
values, but those are outside the list contract.
- Document the summary vocabulary on the subsystem page with `ts type-equiv`
blocks for the mark, its stripping, the excluded-key test, the summary value
type, and the key selection; split the prose paragraph.
- Revert the behavior-neutral cache-double refactors in three specs, and record
in the Agent Note why no upgrade guide accompanies the wire change and how a
consumer migrates.
The group-tree JSDoc and the ui-chat README stated that every reply stays outside whole-Turn folding and named only the collapse-timing setting. They now distinguish All replies from Final answer only and link the new setting.
The seeded-history check measured the folded final answer 16px below the Turn control. Hidden process rows separate the two, so the answer now keeps the 12px reply gap.
The producer/consumer matrix points at the declaring line of each event. Adding
the `imageLimits` JSDoc and map-entry wrap moved the `api-session/*` declarations
in `packages/api/session-controller/src/types.ts` down by four lines, so the
graph pair is regenerated. Only source locations change.
`imageLimits` is a boot constant every Session shares: the unit stores no
per-Session state (`stateSchema: z.null()`, `apply: state => state`) and its
view returns `ctx.attachments.imageLimits`. A list row therefore repeated one
host-wide capability fact on every row. It now carries the summary mark like
the three log-derived units, so a summary read skips it while an opened Session
still receives it through `session/follow`, the control baseline, and
`session.projections`.
No other logic changes: the registration, its schema, its constant view, and
the host-side prompt validation keep reading `ctx.attachments` directly.
A folded Turn gave its final answer the control's 16px clearance through
compactAnswer and data-turn-process-answer, because hidden process rows
keep the answer from matching the control's adjacent-row rule. With every
reply kept, the final answer no longer follows the control, so that 16px
only widened the gap above it. In both choices the margin also switched
from 12px to 16px when the closing rows became hidden at the end of a
next-message fold, moving the answer down about 4px.
A reply separated from the control by folded rows now keeps the 12px reply
gap in both choices; only a row directly following the control receives
16px, and no reply changes its spacing when a fold finishes.
Settings goldens gain the Replies After Collapse row; folded-Turn aria
goldens for plan review, goal turns, and turn-tail actions include their
intermediate replies. The folded layout checks measure the intermediate
reply that now follows the Turn control at the 12px reply gap.
